ManagerZone and How It Works
by rnn.yqe. on Feb.03, 2019, under Games Online
ManagerZone, usually abbreviated as MZ, is a free football manager game developed and published by the Swedish-based company, Power Challenge AB. Launched in 2001, ManagerZone is one of the oldest MMOs with a massive audience of about 800,000 members from 99 countries.
Game Concept
ManagerZone members fully manage a virtual professional football club. Each member is provided with a team of 19 players placed in the lowest league, a budget of £240,000 and a stadium that can seat 2,000 people. Members are required to win matches and climb to higher leagues.
The different manageable aspects of the game are the finances, tactics, training camps, training, stadium and the calendar (friendly matches).
Team Economy
Each manager’s team generates income through local matches, the sale of players and prizes awarded after finishing in a certain place in a league. Expenses are discounted every Friday night and include the salary of coaches and players, maintenance of the stadium, and purchase of players to name a few.
League System
ManagerZone uses a pyramidal league system that’s based on the existing English football league system. Each country has a different pyramid with a league that has 12 teams, playing against each other twice in one season. A season lasts one quarter (13 weeks) and has 22 matches that are played every Wednesday and Sunday.
After each season, the top team in each league is awarded a trophy and is promoted to the next league.
Competitions
The football manager game runs a number of cup competitions throughout a season. Users can buy a place in the competition at the cost of £1 or equivalent. Another competition available in the game is the friendly league which is created by a manager on an invite-only basis. The manager can include up to 16 teams and costs £1 or equivalent to join. ManagerZone also hosts an international football competition, the ManagerZone World Cup, which is held yearly.
Welcome To the World of Poker Tournaments
by Jany Okuneva on Oct.25, 2017, under Games Online
Poker tournaments are here to stay. They’re big business. And if you’re good at them, you can win an awful lot of money on them…an awful lot! In July, a granddad from the North of England won €2million in a world poker contest. But what are they are all about, and how can YOU win €2million!? Read on for the brief beginner’s guide to poker tournaments.
Where Do I Start?
As with anything, you will need to start off from the bottom. Not every poker tournament has a winner’s prize of millions of dollars. There may be one at your local casino or pub. This is where you can learn the ropes, and see how these tournaments work.
I’ve Won My First Tournament… Now What?
Congratulations! The best advice is not to get ahead of yourself. As with any form of gambling, it should be a fun pastime, and it’s advisable to sit back and enjoy your winnings and stick to small tournaments (with small stakes) for now. This way, you’ll be able to hopefully build up your betting pool sensibly, and you’ll steadily learn more and more about how the game of poker works. Once you’ve won a few tournaments, you can start thinking about bigger tournaments, with bigger stakes. And who knows where you might end up? The sky’s the limit, just ask the Granddad from the North of England! But as with anything, the top can only be reached by small steps. If you try and jump to the top, you’ll most likely come crashing down again pretty quick. The top poker tournaments only normally consist of people who have several years at least of poker playing tournament experience. But as is evident, it can nevertheless be done.
How to Win On Poker Freeroll Tournaments
by Jany Okuneva on Oct.15, 2017, under Games Online
Poker freeroll tournaments can be a great introduction to the workings of the game. They are free to enter, and therefore there is no risk involved whatsoever. There can also be some potentially great winnings to be made! People trying to win on poker freeroll tournaments will probably play different strategies to what they would in a normal poker game. If they pay to enter a game, most people will play conservatively to begin with, not wanting to take any risks. In a freeroll tournament, many players will take risks early on, because if they hadn’t paid anything to enter, what did they have to lose? But is this a sensible strategy? The experts would definitely say no!
Just as in a normal poker game, it is advisable to play cautious early on in freeroll tournaments. If you have a really good hand, then go for it, because you can gain big whilst risking little this way. But if not, then play safe. Also, you should not call bluff or all-in early in the game, as it will likely lead to you exiting the game. By all means if you have a ‘poker-face’, try it later on!
It’s also a good idea to play in smaller freeroll tournaments as you’re starting out, as this way you can get a better idea of what strategies other poker players devise when playing. In a bigger tournament, there will be more people playing risks, and it will be harder to pick up good tricks from fellow players.
It may take a while for you reach the latter stages of freeroll tournaments, and as you do, you’ll realise that people will play more risks. Hopefully by the time you get to the later stages of a tournament, you’ll know what risks are worth taking. Good luck!

Your mobile phone is no longer just a phone. There are many other functions that the most basic phone does today. There are many people who literally run their lives from their smartphones. It is possible that the first thing you pick up when you wake up is your phone, and all day you turn to the device for company when bored or in-between tasks. Power
The smart phone has the computing capacity of a small computer. In fact, the average smart phone today is more powerful than the computer that was used to put a man on the moon in the Apollo mission. Online mobile casinos nowadays understand that you enjoy using that power, and so they offer games that take advantage of it. Combining that power with the high-quality graphic displays makes for a great gaming experience.
Security
Casino gaming involves depositing money and withdrawing winnings. That means there are many financial details such a credit card numbers that have to be entered into the site. If you are going to be saving sensitive passwords then at least let that device be within your reach any time of day.
Convenience
The mobile phone allows you to play your favourite game at any time. You could be on a flight, or in board room waiting for a meeting to begin and get a few spins played. The mobile phone allows you to find chunks of time within your busy day where you can relax with a few spins of your favourite game. The smart phone has the power and the accessibility. Take advantage of it.
How to hold’em in Texas Hold’em
by Jany Okuneva on Sep.14, 2017, under Games Online
Texas Hold’em is one the most popular versions of poker, played in both physical casinos and online casinos. If you are new to poker or have played one of the other versions, then you are going to need to know the basics. So here we show you how to hold’em. It is interesting to note that even an AI has to learn and play the game to get better. To find out more about this click here. Just like an AI, players can best learn the game and improve their skill by reading numerous articles on the game. Read more articles here.
Texas Hold’em: The basics
The game is played against other players, with each player receiving an initial two cards. The first player has to put down a ‘big blind’ bet, which is equal to the table minimum. Next the player to the left has a choice of options open to them: Call – Place a bet equal to the big blind Raise – Place a bet higher than the big blind Fold – Resign from the current game The betting continues to the left in the same manner until it reaches the last person to bet. This player has already put a ‘small blind’ into the betting pot, which is half of the value of the big blind / half of the table minimum. This player can now call, raise or fold. If no raises have taken place, then the big blind can now raise the bet or ‘check’ and decline to bet. If the big blind was raised, then each player must now decide whether to call, raise or fold, until each player has put in a full bet. After this initial round of betting, community cards are dealt and placed face up. First three, then a fourth and fifth are placed in new betting rounds. The winner is the one who can then show the best hand using their initial cards plus the community cards.
A Guide to Texas Hold’em
by Jany Okuneva on Sep.05, 2017, under Games Online
Texas Hold’em is one of the most popular forms of poker. It is relatively simple to learn but much more complex to master. However, for a beginner, this can be a rather daunting game and there are a number of aspects that must be thought about before play begins. The following article outlines a few key things to think about before jumping headfirst into Texas Hold’em. One of the first things to do is check the cards. Poker is all about concentration and paying attention to the cards and the players around. New players need to know the different hands forwards and backwards and what constitutes a good starting hand. As a beginner, this is very important as usually, new players play too many hands following the theory that playing more will win more. This couldn’t be more wrong. Learn some key hands to play, and fold on others. As the player becomes more adept at the game, more starting hands can be added to their repertoire. There are a number of other important aspects to bear in mind. For example, it can help a player to simply learn the basic odds of the game. As with all poker games, Texas Hold’em is built on odds and every action or hand a player makes has consequences. That’s not to say that players need to be mathematicians but simply aware of them. It is also important to bluff less, a common misconception about poker is that it’s all about the bluff, it’s not. Finally, players, particularly those playing online should check out the bonuses on offer. These can include match deposits or rakeback, both of which can affect winnings in a very positive manner. More tips can be read about right here. Keeping records, sticking to a budget and discussing the game will also help a player become more successful in the game as a whole.
How to succeed in different poker games
by Jany Okuneva on Aug.10, 2017, under Games Online
Poker has been a long-time favourite game for many. Most people started out with the simple five card poker, where pennies were used instead of chips. Today the game has evolved to include many different variants that have their own style of play. Poker is not a game of chance as with other casino games, but rather a game of strategy. The more solid a player’s strategy is, the higher the chances for them getting some very good rewards. There are many variants to poker but we will just mention the most common ones:
- Texas Hold’em – Every player gets two cards that are dealt facing down. There are also some community cards that are dealt facing up. Every player places a bet before the community cards are placed, and the winner is the one with the best five cards on hand.
- Omaha- this is a variation of Texas Hold’em, but the players get four cards instead of two, and each player must end up playing two of the four.
- Seven card stud – Every player is dealt three cards, one facing up and the rest facing down. The game then begins with the player with the lowest value card making the first bet. The game proceeds with more deals with the aim of getting the best five cards at hand.
There are several strategies that should be employed, especially by beginners, to get a good grasp of any poker game. A player should avoid becoming too aggressive at the start of the game. The player should also know how to hold a poker face during the game, to avoid revealing their emotions. When it comes to money, the player should play low bets at hand, and never play with money they do not have.

Three Great Platform Games
by Jany Okuneva on Apr.05, 2015, under Games Online
Most of us will have cut our teeth on platforming games of some kind. Children of the late eighties will have grown up with iconic titles like Super Mario or Sonic the Hedgehog, while slightly younger gamers may have fonder memories of collecting wumpa fruit as Crash Bandicoot, or mucking around online during the early days of flash gaming.Since Donkey Kong in 1981, the gaming industry has been pumping out platformer after platformer. While the majority of these have been rubbish, this article is hopefully going to introduce you to three of the diamonds in the rough that you may have missed.
N Ninja game
N is a free game produced by Metanet software. N has seen various incarnations and versions during its fifteen year lifespan, but at its core, the game puts the player in control of the titular N ninja, who can only run and jump to make his way to victory. N is a game with an excellent sense of flow and balance. The game is challenging without ever feeling unfair. You will quite likely lose hours of your life to this game.
Super Meat Boy
Super Meat Boy is available for the 360, Wii and PC. This platformer is a little bit tougher than N, often bordering on an almost Battletoadian level of difficulty. Somehow though, this game always manages to feel good, even while kicking your ass over and over (and over)
Psychonauts
It is amazing how few people are aware of Psychonauts, even now ten years after its original PC and PS2 release. Psychonauts is a very clever and funny romp through the inner workings of the human psyche. The player enters the mental landscape of other character’s minds, overcoming puzzles and problems to discover information or to resolve inner conflict. It would be a crime not to grab this one on steam
